Oxford, MS (April 18, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Monday afternoon, April 18.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 4:40 p.m. on 2013 University Avenue in front of the local Kroger store. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
