Oxford, MS (February 8, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Monday evening, February 7.
The Oxford Police Department confirmed that the collision happened at 6:55 p.m. at 415 Washington Avenue in front of the Boys and Girls Club. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
