Oxford, MS (February 15, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon, February 15.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 2305 Jackson Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes in front of the El Agave restaurant when they forcefully collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
