Oxford, MS (March 7, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Sunday evening, March 6.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 7:10 p.m. on Molly Barr Road. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help the injured parties. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the accident. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
