Oxford, MS (January 29, 2022) – Oxford Police responded to the scene of an injury accident that happened in Oxford on Saturday afternoon, January 29.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened around 3:25 p.m. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area at 901 Merchants Drive in front of the local Home Goods store when one or more lost control. The vehicles forcefully collided with each other in the area. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles, which had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
