Oxford, MS (November 14, 2021) – At 7:20 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, November 14, a car accident with injuries occurred in Oxford.
According to LaFayette County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of US-30 around the area of Ferdinand’s. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide. The vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Emergency crews and other responders were called to the scene to assist all those involved. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
