Mississippi Auto Wrecks
Mississippi sees hundreds of thousands of auto accidents every single year. Over 55,000 people sustain injuries in auto wrecks that happen in the state, and more than 1,000 people lose their lives. There are more car wrecks reported in the Magnolia State than most other states in the US. Currently, auto collisions are a leading cause of fatalities nationwide. This fact is alarming due to driver negligence being the main cause of the majority of car crashes in the United States.
Information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states that 9 out of 10 of the car wrecks that happen in the country happen due to driver negligence. Drivers who drive drunk, sleepy, distracted, or at unsafe speeds put themselves and everyone they encounter on the road at risk of becoming involved in a seriously dangerous collision.
When you are hurt in an accident due to the negligent actions of another driver, you may be forced into the hospital and out of work. On average, the cost of hospitalization related to a severe car crash injury can range anywhere from $10,000 to $50,000. Accident victims may need monetary assistance paying for the medical care they require to make a full recovery from their injuries.
Luckily, if a negligent driver causes an auto crash, those who suffer injuries in that crash are most likely eligible for financial compensation that can help cover the majority of the costs related to their wreck.
