Mississippi Car Accidents
Oftentimes, auto accidents happen when no one expects them to. Depending on the severity of the crash, those involved may sustain serious injuries which turn their lives inside out for the foreseeable future. Sustaining severe injuries can take a lot of time, energy, and money. Approximately 6 million car accidents happen per year in the United States. This is equal to more than 17,000 auto collisions per day.
In the state of Mississippi, over 100,000 car wrecks occur per year. These wrecks injure and take the lives of thousands of people. On average, about 55,000 individuals sustain injuries in auto collisions in the Magnolia State per year. These wrecks injure tens of thousands of people and take the lives of more than 1,000 people annually. Right now, most auto collisions in the United States are the result of negligent driving. Currently, distracted driving causes most of the car crashes reported in the US, while in Mississippi, speeding is the leading culprit.
Depending on what causes your collision, you may qualify for financial compensation that can help you get your life back on track. A car crash lawyer can help you get the finances required to pay for medical care, repairs to your vehicle, and more. You may even qualify for compensation that can help you pay for pain and suffering, loss of life enjoyment, and other non-economic damages.
Driver negligence is illegal in Mississippi and across the US. Negligent drivers must be held accountable for their actions, and, in most states, driver negligence is punishable by fines and even jail time. Allow an attorney to help you get the justice you deserve by helping you hold the negligent party responsible.
