Oxford, MS – Major Car Crash on Jackson Ave W near CVS

Oxford, MS (September 3, 2022) – At approximately 11:40 a.m., on September 2, a car accident was reported on a roadway in Oxford. Reports show that at least one person suffered injuries in the wreck. 

Local sources state that the incident occurred near CVS in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue West. At this time, the number of people injured in the accident remains unknown. 

Emergency crews including EMTs, police, and fire crews were observed helping those involved at the scene. One or more injured victims were transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital. 

The roadway was closed while responders worked in the area. Drivers passing by the scene were asked to use alternate routes. 

What caused the crash is currently being investigated by Oxford authorities.
