Oxford, MS (April 24, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that took place at a bank in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1:05 p.m. at 2601 Jackson Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of the roadway in front of the Mechanics Bank. For reasons that are not yet known, the vehicles collided forcefully with each other. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
