Oxford, MS (September 16, 2021) – At 1:40 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, September 16, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1936 University Avenue in front of the local Cashsavers store. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
