Oxford, MS (February 17, 2022) – On Wednesday evening, February 16, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at 2405 Anderson Road in front of the Retreat at Oxford. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
