Oxford, MS (April 2, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a multi-vehicle collision that took place on a roadway in Oxford on Saturday afternoon, April 2.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened at 1741 University Avenue in the area of Burger King. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
