Oxford, MS (December 1, 2021) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 1, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Oxford.
According to Oxford Police, the accident happened on Wilson Road. Several vehicles were allegedly traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles were extensively damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
