Oxford, MS (February 16, 2022) – On Wednesday morning, February 16, a serious multi-vehicle collision with injuries took place in Oxford.
Oxford Police confirmed that the accident happened before 7:30 a.m. on MS-7 around the area of the North Mississippi Regional Center. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries in the accident. The injured parties were taken to the hospital by medical helicopter.
The roadway was blocked entirely in front of the Regional Center as police worked to clear the scene.
