Pearl River County, MS (February 15, 2024) – Police in Mississippi are currently investigating a collision that took the lives of two individuals in Pearl River County.
Reports show the incident occurred on Friday, February 9 at around 10:30 p.m. Authorities and paramedics responded to the scene located on Highway 26 near West North Street to find a 2008 GMC Sierra operated by 45-year-old Billy R. Webb of Moss Point. He was headed west on Highway 26 when he was involved in a collision with a 2016 Honda Accord operated by 31-year-old Chelsea Barns from Poplarville. Barns was traveling east on the highway at the time. Webb and Barnes were both fatally injured due to the collision. They were pronounced deceased on-site by paramedics. Authorities in Pearl River County are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
