Raymond, MS (May 22, 2022) – Injuries were reported in several victims who were involved in a UTV accident in Raymond on Saturday night, May 21.
According to Vicksburg officials, the accident happened around 11 p.m. on Wells Road in Warren County. A driver was traveling in a side-by-side UTV in the area when the driver lost control. This caused the UTV to go off the side of the road where it overturned. The UTV sustained heavy damage in the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. All four people inside the UTV, identified as four young women, were injured in the accident. One of the victims was treated on the scene while the other three were rushed to Merit Health River Region hospital. The parties are all expected to make a full recovery.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
We offer our sympathies to the injured victims and hope that they will recover as quickly as possible.
UTV Accidents in Mississippi
UTV accidents are more likely to occur in Mississippi than in many other states throughout the U.S. According to recent statistics, Mississippi residents are 3.5 more likely to die in UTV accidents than the national average. UTV riders and passengers have no protection from harm. This means that they are more likely to become seriously injured or even killed in an accident involving any other type of vehicle. Being involved in a UTV accident can affect your life in many ways, especially if you have been seriously injured. This is why you should be prepared to speak with an attorney who has your best interests in mind.
If you have been hurt in a UTV accident, you may be feeling alone and confused. You will likely have questions that you cannot answer on your own. Some of these might include the following:
- What evidence do you need to prove that another party is at fault for your accident?
- What deadlines will you be required to meet when it comes to your claim?
- Will your case be settled or will it make it all the way to trial?
You should never have to deal with the stress of an accident on your own. Speaking with a Raymond personal injury attorney can be incredibly beneficial during these difficult times.
