St Martin, MS (October 13, 2022) – One person lost their life after a fatal pedestrian crash in St Martin. The wreck happened between a bicyclist and a truck on Monday night, October 10.
Reports show the incident occurred on Tucker Road when Dickey Ray Payne, age 44, of Vancleave, was traveling north on Tucker around 9:00 p.m. on his bike. Information from police shows that a Chevrolet 2500 was also headed north when it struck Payne.
What caused the collision to occur remains under investigation by local police at this time. Paramedics pronounced the bicyclist deceased at the wreck site shortly after the collision occurred.
The truck driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident. Traffic was backed up in the area for an extended period of time on the night of October 10.
