St Martin, MS – Injury Accident on I-10 near MS 609

St Martin, MS (September 12, 2023) – A car accident happened in St Martin on the morning of Monday, September 11. Emergency responders were dispatched to the wreck site at approximately 4:30 a.m. after dispatchers reported the accident on Interstate 10. 

The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported that two passenger vehicles collided on the interstate. One of the involved drivers suffered life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. 

Police say the road was blocked for over two hours on Monday morning, and local drivers were urged to use alternate routes while emergency crews worked in the area. 

Police in St Martin are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
