Starkville, MS (July 20, 2023) – Police in Starkville responded to a head-on accident on Highway 25 on Thursday, July 13. The wreck took place at around 12:15 p.m.
Authorities reported that the incident happened on Highway 25 when a woman, identified as Mary Ann Green, of Columbus, was traveling south on the highway. Her vehicle was involved in a head-on crash with another vehicle.
Both drivers were airlifted to a hospital in Memphis to receive emergency medical treatment for their injuries. Sadly, Green lost her life due to the severity of the wounds she suffered in the crash.
The other driver has not been identified at this time. We do not know their current medical condition.
Police in Starkville continue to investigate the details of the crash.
