Starkville, MS (February 25, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a major roadway in Starkville on Thursday night, February 24.
According to Starkville Police, the accident happened around 10:18 p.m. on MS-182 around the area of Nesco. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided forcefully with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time. Police urged those traveling through the area to use caution due to limited visibility.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
