Starkville, MS (September 9, 2021) – At 10:47 p.m. on the night of Wednesday, September 8, a two-vehicle collision occurred at an intersection in Starkville.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Spring Street and MS-12 in front of the local Petsense. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
