Starkville, MS (September 10, 2021) – At 7:26 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, September 9, a two-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Starkville.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened on MS-12 around the area of Village Crossing Shopping. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use caution for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
