Stone County, MS (August 20, 2022) – At approximately 1:17 p.m., on August 19, responders were sent to the scene of a serious auto collision in Stone County. The incident took place on US 49 when at least one person sustained injuries in a car wreck.
Reports from authorities show that the collision happened on US 49 near Mill Avenue. Two or more vehicles were involved in a crash in the area that caused injuries to one or more victims.
Paramedics were sent to render aid at the crash scene. Currently, the extent of the injuries suffered in the accident has not been reported.
Emergency medical assistance was issued to the injured victims at the scene before those with extensive injuries were transported to local hospitals for treatment as needed.
Currently, police in Stone County continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
