Mississippi Train Crashes
Train accidents are not commonly compared to many other accidents in Mississippi and beyond. Railroad-related accidents have actually decreased over recent years but still lead to injuries every year. In 2019, in fact, over 7,900 people were injured in train accidents. In 2020, this decreased to less than 5,500 injuries. Passenger trains are always transporting millions of people across the country each day. This is why it is no surprise that train accidents continue to happen due to negligent acts. If you have been hurt in a train crash, you should have legal help by your side.
There are many common reasons for train accidents in Mississippi. These include some of the following:
- Negligence of an operator
- Faulty equipment on the train
