Sumrall, MS – Major Crash on MS 42 near Epley Rd

Sumrall, MS (August 2, 2022) – An auto accident happened in Sumrall on the afternoon of August 2 that resulted in injuries. At approximately 1:50 p.m., police and EMTs were sent to the scene of a crash on MS 42. 

According to reports, the collision took place on MS 42 near Epley Road. All lanes of the roadway were blocked in both directions for some time on the afternoon of August 2. 

Local drivers were asked to use alternative routes while the scene was active with responders. At this time, police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
