Tupelo, MS (June 21, 2022) – A fatal traffic collision took one life in Tupelo on Saturday, June 18. Local reports show that a man was killed when he was hit by an SUV.
According to information from reports, a 58-year-old SUV driver struck the man on his bike and continued driving without stopping to render aid. However, the motorist turned himself over to the police a short time later.
The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on-site. At this time, no other information concerning the wreck has been reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. Traffic was delayed in the area while responders worked to secure the scene.
