Utica, MS (February 9, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal car crash that happened on a major roadway in Utica on Wednesday, February 9.
Mississippi Highway Patrol officials confirmed that the accident happened on MS-18 in Hinds County. Police confirmed that a Saturn Ion was traveling in the area when it collided with a Honda Ridgeline due to reasons that are not yet known. An Infiniti traveling in the area then struck the Honda Ridgeline, which ended up in its lane. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Saturn, identified as 47-year-old Khristoffer Hearron, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
Due to the severity of the collision, a portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could continue as normal.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
