Mississippi Car Wrecks
Auto accidents happen in Mississippi constantly. The state sees over 300 vehicle collisions happen per day. Throughout the country, there are millions of vehicle collisions that happen every year that injure and take the lives of millions of people. Car crashes have become a leading cause of serious injuries and death in the United States in the past decade. This may be partially due to the advent of smartphones and other handheld technology. The main leading cause of car crashes is currently driver negligence. In the United States, driver distraction is the most commonly seen type of driver negligence that leads to accidents and injuries.
In one recent year, over 400,000 auto collisions were reported as a result of driver distraction. That same year, more than 3,000 people lost their lives in vehicle collisions caused by distracted drivers. Drivers who choose to look at their phones, talk to other people in the car, eat, or do anything else other than keeping their eyes on the roadway, put themselves and everyone else they come into contact with while behind the wheel at serious risk for severe injuries or even death.
