Vicksburg, MS (May 12, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place at a Vicksburg intersection on Thursday morning, May 12.
According to local reports by the Vicksburg Police Department, the accident happened at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Confederate Avenue and Indiana Avenue. Two drivers were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Several responders, including Vicksburg Fire, were dispatched to the scene to assist those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Traffic was impacted in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
