Vicksburg, MS (March 4, 2022) – On Friday morning, March 4, a three-vehicle collision took place on a roadway in Vicksburg.
According to Vicksburg Police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-20. Three vehicles were traveling in a construction zone in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the collision.
Several responders, including Vicksburg paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in all westbound lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
