Vicksburg, MS (February 6, 2022) – On Sunday, February 6, a tractor-trailer collision with injuries occurred on a major highway in Vicksburg.
According to authorities, the accident happened on I-20 around the area of the Bovina exit. Several vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, were traveling on the highway in the area. The tractor-trailer collided with one or more of the vehicles, causing a chain-reaction collision. One of the involved passenger vehicles rolled over, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic on I-20 until police cleared the scene.
