Vicksburg, MS (April 13, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a two-vehicle collision that took place on a major Vicksburg road on Tuesday night, April 12.
According to Vicksburg Police, the accident happened on MS-80. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. Due to the force of the accident, one of the vehicles immediately overturned. The vehicles involved in the accident were severely damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two individuals sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The victims were taken to local hospitals by ambulance, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
