Walnut Grove, MS (April 5, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision that took place on a major roadway in Walnut Grove on Monday morning, April 4.
According to Leake County officials, the accident happened at 10:51 a.m. on Highway 35 in front of the 35 Express convenience store. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when one forcefully struck the other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damages as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was injured as a result of the collision. The injured party was taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
