Laurel, MS (November 24, 2021) – On Wednesday morning, November 24, a pickup truck accident occurred on a roadway in Laurel.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident happened on US-11. A driver was in a Ford F-150 when the driver swerved to miss an oncoming truck that was traveling in the wrong lane. This caused the driver to strike the side of a red Ford F-150 with a trailer attached to the back. The vehicles had extensive damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the F-150 received injuries to his hands. Nobody else was transported to the hospital as a result.
Due to the severity of the accident and removal of damaged vehicles at the scene, the roadway was blocked in both directions for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
