Starkville, MS (April 11, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Starkville on Monday morning, April 11.
According to the Starkville Police Department, the accident happened at 9:12 a.m. at the intersection of MS-12 and Russell Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
