Oxford, MS (April 27, 2022) – Around 12:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 27, a car accident with injuries took place in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, the accident happened at 1760 Barron Street in front of the Oxford Nephrology office. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
