Oxford, MS (May 7, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Oxford on Saturday evening ended in injuries. At around 4:37 p.m., on May 7, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Jackson Avenue West.
Reports provided by the Oxford Police Department show that a collision between vehicles took place near the AT&T store located at 1805 Jackson Avenue West.
The incident caused moderate delays in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. The police and firefighters closed off a portion of the roadway while working to remove debris and vehicles from the road.
Emergency medical services responded to provide medical care to victims. An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals where they were provided further medical care. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
