Gulfport, MS (August 2, 2022) – A pedestrian was critically injured in a traffic accident in Gulfport on the morning of Wednesday, July 27. Reports show that the wreck happened on US-49 near Highway 53.
Police said a pedestrian was walking along the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle. The injured victim suffered injuries deemed life-threatening by paramedics.
The injured victim was transported by helicopter to an area hospital. No further information has been reported at this time.
Police are investigating the details of the crash.
