Hernando, MS (December 6, 2022) – Authorities in DeSoto County are investigating the details of an accident that happened on December 6. Shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, vehicles collided on US 51.
At least one person was hurt in the accident that took place on US 51 near MS 302. Paramedics, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the wreck scene to help the involved parties.
The scene blocked all lanes of the road for several hours on Tuesday afternoon, causing significant traffic delays. Local drivers were advised to use alternative routes of travel while crews worked in the area.
