Natchez, MS (February 11, 2023) – A head-on crash on a roadway in Natchez sent four people to the hospital, two of who needed to be airlifted, and took the life of a pet dog. Multiple responders went to the scene to render aid.
A 1998 GMC Sierra and a 2015 Dodge Caravan struck one another head-on on Kingston Road near McCalip Retirement Plantation Road. All occupants of the van needed to be extracted from the vehicle by the Natchez Fire Department, who used the jaws of life to get the job done.
All four involved parties suffered serious injuries in the collision. One of the van occupants and the truck driver were airlifted to Our Lady of the Lake with severe injuries. The two other occupants of the van were taken by AMR to Merit Health Natchez to be treated for injuries.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
