Jackson, MS (September 11, 2023) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in south Jackson on the evening of Tuesday, September 6.
Responders were dispatched to the crash site on Interstate 55 near South Frontage Road and Evans Drive. Police say a person was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area. The driver stopped and waited for police to arrive, according to reports.
Sadly, the pedestrian lost their life in the collision. Currently, they have not been identified.
Authorities in Jackson continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
