Meridian, MS (November 18, 2023) – Information from the Mississippi Highway Patrol shows a fatal car crash occurred on Saturday afternoon, November 18, in Newtown County, Meridian. Reports from authorities show the wreck happened on Highway 492 near Conehatta Prospect Road. The incident involved two vehicles, one of which rolled over due to the crash. It occurred at around 3:30 p.m.
One individual reportedly lost their life in the crash. Another was taken to the hospital for treatment due to the extent of their injuries. Authorities in Meridian are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
