Meridian, MS (January 2, 2023) – In the early morning hours of January 1, at around 5:00 a.m., a stolen vehicle occupied by five teenagers collided in the 3400 block of 35th Avenue. One teenager was pronounced deceased at an area hospital, according to information provided by the Lauderdale County Coroner. A second teen lost their life on Monday evening due to injuries they sustained in the crash, police said. Three of the teenagers involved were airlifted to local hospitals in critical condition, according to information provided by the Meridian Police Department. One individual fled the scene on foot. Authorities in Meridian continue to investigate the details of the crash.
