Lincoln County, MS (January 5, 2024) – A woman from Brookhaven lost her life in a car crash that occurred in Lincoln County. Two vehicles crashed at around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, on Interstate 55. The woman, age 61, was headed north in the southbound lanes of the interstate in a 2004 Pontiac Grand when she collided with a 2021 GMC Sierra headed south. Police say the Pontiac’s driver, Ivy Adams, lost her life at the scene. The GMC’s driver was hurt and taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment.
Police in Lincoln County are still investigating.
