Hinds County, MS (January 29, 2024) – A two-car accident occurred in Hinds County on Sunday morning, January 28, that took the life of one person.
The deceased victim was identified as Heather Kacarka, 36. Reports show the collision happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 55 near the 84-mile marker. Local sources say a 2013 Ford Fiesta operated by Chris Wilson, 29, of Crystal Spring, was headed north on the interstate when it was involved in a crash with a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Kacarka. Wilson sustained injuries in the accident, according to information from reports. At this time, police in Mississippi are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
