Covington County, MS – SUV & Semi Collide, Take One Life on US 49

Covington County, MS (November 9, 2023) – First responders were dispatched to the scene of a fatal traffic collision in Covington County involving an SUV and an 18-wheeler. The wreck occurred on Tuesday, November 7. 

Reports from authorities show the wreck happened on U.S. Highway 49 under circumstances that are still under investigation. One individual lost their life in the crash, local officials said. 

The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the incident along with paramedics and fire crews. The highway was closed while emergency responders worked in the area.
