Edwards, MS (September 1, 2023) – A truck driver lost their life in a traffic accident reported on an interstate near Edwards on the morning of Friday, September 1. At around 11:00 a.m., emergency responders went to the scene of the incident on Interstate 20.
Local sources report that the crash happened on I-20 in the westbound lanes near Highway 22. Police say an 18-wheeler struck a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the interstate, causing the semi to catch fire.
The truck driver lost their life in the crash, according to information from local reports. Heavy traffic jams occurred in the area for some time on the afternoon of September 1 while responders worked to render aid at the scene.
