Flowood, MS (January 24, 2024) – Police in Flowood are working a major collision that occurred on Wednesday, January 24. Multiple vehicles were involved in the accident that happened on Lakeland Drive near cooper Road. All eastbound lanes were blocked while emergency workers were present at the wreck site. Five vehicles were involved in the accident, police said. At least three individuals were transported to the hospital with injuries due to the wreck. One woman had to be extricated from her vehicle by Flowood fire crews. Local drivers were asked to use an alternate route while police and EMTs worked at the crash scene.
