Gulfport, MS (September 25, 2022) – John May Jr., 51, of Gulfport lost his life in a fatal auto crash reported in Harrison County on Thursday, September 22. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at approximately 11:15 a.m.
Police stated that a car driven by May Jr. was headed south on Highway 53 when it crashed into two vehicles traveling north. As a result, May Jr. was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on-site.
The roadway was blocked for an extended period of time in the late morning and early afternoon of September 22. Local responders worked to secure the crash site and restore normal traffic.
Currently, what caused the incident to happen is under police investigation. Few other details have been released at this time.
